History: In 2005, Carl Howard planted a few habanero peppers in his garden. He gave them to friends that enjoyed them. When fall came along, he had several habaneros left over. Carl decided to dry them and that led to grinding and bottling them. The habaneros were so hot that not many people could tolerate them, that's when Carl decided to dilute them so that the average person could enjoy the habaneros. Carl experimented with different ways to blend them until he ultimately came up with his own secret recipe to make them in three different heat ranges.
As a result of making the habanero spices for his friends, Carl "Hot Stuff" Howard soon became his nickname. Over the years, he has given it to people all over the country, including, Alice Cooper, and several local bars and restaurants in the Fort Wayne, Indiana area. People started asking Carl, "Why don't you sell these blends?" Carl thought, "What a good idea" and that is how Carl's Hot Stuff Peppers came to be.
